How we handle your information
PRIVACY
POLICY.
Bayside is a small, volunteer-run club — we only collect what we need to run sessions and consider membership applications, and we don’t sell or share it beyond what’s explained here.
Privacy policy Plain-English version
What this
covers.
This policy explains what information this website collects when you use it or apply for membership, how we use it, and who else sees it.

1. Who we are
Bayside Pickleball Club Incorporated (Bayside, we, us) is a volunteer-run, not-for-profit incorporated association based at 221 Thomas Street, Hampton VIC 3188. You can reach us at info@melbournebaysidepickleball.com.au.
2. What we collect
We only collect information you choose to give us:
- Membership applications — the name, email address, and playing background you enter in the application form.
- Direct enquiries — anything you include when you email us or message us on Facebook.
We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies on this site, and we don’t collect information automatically beyond the standard technical logs any web server keeps (such as IP address and browser type).
3. How we use it
We use your information to consider your membership application, contact you if a place becomes available, and respond to whatever you’ve asked us about. We don’t use it for marketing you haven’t asked for, and we don’t sell or rent it to anyone.
4. Third-party services
A few parts of this site connect to outside services to work properly:
- OpenSports — session bookings happen on OpenSports, not on this site. Anything you enter there is covered by OpenSports’ own privacy policy, not this one.
- Google Fonts — this site loads typefaces from Google’s servers, which involves a standard technical connection to Google when the page loads.
- Google Maps — our “Get directions” link opens Google Maps in a new tab, outside this site.
5. How we protect it
Membership applications are handled by club committee volunteers and kept only as long as needed to consider your application or maintain our membership records — not indefinitely, and not for any purpose beyond running the club.
6. Your rights
You can ask us what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, at any time — just email info@melbournebaysidepickleball.com.au and we’ll sort it out.
7. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle information, we’ll update this page and the date above. Since Bayside is run by volunteers, please check back occasionally rather than expecting a notification.
8. Contact us
Questions about this policy or your information are always welcome at info@melbournebaysidepickleball.com.au.
